YES- FINALLY!! Are you ready for some hockey?

The only good thing about having both my MLB teams out of the post-season is that I will have no conflict watching opening night festivities of the NHL tonight. (Yes I know there were regular season games played in Europe last weekend, but that doesn't count.)

Tonight kicks-off with a clasic match between the Broad St Bullies from Philadelphia versus Sid the Kid and cast from the Pittsburgh Penguins. You have to learn to walk before you can run and that's the attitude of this year's Penguins who are looking at a chance to get back to the Stanley Cup Finals after being ousted by the hated Detroit Redwings.

Tomorrow night, my beloved Blackhawks begin their attempt at a return to glory and the post-season. Loaded with young talent, bolstered by solid veterans and coached by Hall of Famer Dennis Savard, the Roar is back and I can't wait.
