Rest In Peace My Friend

If any of you have or have had dogs, you'll understand and those of you that haven't won't but that's ok.

I may not be posting for a couple days as my family, including my 3-year old daughter mourns the loss of one of our dogs. He collapsed shortly after I got home from work. We took him to the hospital where they told us he had a massive tumor on his heart. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers as we are all pretty messed up.

In Loving Memory

Fuck man, I am sorry. I can tell you that in my 28 years on Earth the only time I have ever weeped since being a little kid is the day my beloved Azrael left my life in 2007. I cried myself to sleep for two weeks straight and I still say a prayer for him when I go walking at night.

I am terrible sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear about this. I too am a dog lover and I can't imagine what kind of heartache I'll go though when our two boys are taken away.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've lost a few cats and was very down about it. When any of my dogs pass (they're 14, 10, & 5), I've already warned everyone I'm going to need to take at least 2 days off from work because I won't want to face the world.

I am so sorry, being I've put two dogs to sleep in the past two years, I understand your loss completely. It takes some time to get over the loss and you should take your time. Crying is good because it gets out the emotion, I know I cried for a good two weeks after each dog passed. My wife and I have three dogs now (we've always been a three dog family) and I know if any of them were to pass I'd need some time away as well. Good luck and god bless.

Thank you for your kind words of comfort guys. I really have no idead how to deal with this much hurt.

We had Roscoe almost as long as we have been married and he truly was our first kid.

With 2 little girls and no desire for a third child , Roscoe was "my boy". It didn't matter if I was in the garage for 5 minutes or on a business trip for 5 days, his reaction to my return home was always the same.

He was so gentle with my kids it was amazing. He actually knew my wife was pregnant both times before she did. Following her around constantly, sitting at her feet, and sleeping right beside her.

When the kids would come home he insisted on small wet kisses to their faces.

I am a fucking mess and somehow this helps so thanks.

Sorry for you and your family Rob. It's never easy to loose a loved one. Rest assured Roscoe enjoyed his time with you and that you made him as happy as he made you.

We may not agree on much, but I think we can agree that there is nothing quite like the bond between you and your dog(s).
I am terribly sorry this happened to you and your family, especially during the holidays. I have been there myself and know that there just aren't adequate words to describe how you feel and what you go through when you lose your "buddy" like that.

Just keep you head up as best you can and rest easy knowing Roscoe was a lucky dog to have a family that cared for him so much.

Regards,
Eric

I empathize with you, and I'm sorry for your loss. My Golden, Cody, who I had since he was a 10-week-old puppy, had a tumor on his shoulder and we were heartbroken when we had to euthanize him. He is out of pain now, like your pup, and chasing bunnies with all the rest of Man's Best Friends.

All Good Dogs Do Go To Heaven.
