TS O'Connell, SCD, Mastro, FBI

Please read the following blog post and it's comments before mine are deleted. He vaguely responds to the questions raised by myself and others regarding the FBI investigation into Mastro Auctions originally commented on here.

The thing that I find so infuriating about this issue is that SCD acts like there are several competing publications for their ad dollars and other than Beckett there simply isn't. Mastro/Legendary would be foolish to pull advertising out of their publication.

I may be making too many assumptions but in my heart of hearts I know this is the crux of why SCD won't tackle this issue head on.

Whenever I read a T.S. O'Connell piece, I have to check the page header to make sure I'm not on The Onion.

His style seems to be somewhere between the foofy, pillow-soft kitten punch of Jackie Harvey and the days-gone-by crackalackin' antics of T. Herman Zweibel.

There's an element of transparency that just isn't there. Has he reached out to you since your comments?

No he hasn't

SCD is barely hanging on, in my opinion. Just a few years ago, I could barely get through an issue before the next arrived. Now, the magazine is next to nothing. The last time I subscribed, I was supposed to get some Hartland statue which never came and I didn't even care. I get letters from them offering cheap subscriptions and my next-to-last "special" was over $50 for a year. I don't think so. To be honest with you, if you want to subscribe to it, let your subscription lapse to get the best deal because I found that to be true. However, I think that I can get the same news online faster and for free.

I hope that he starts to address the points and issues that were made. I think he's new to blogging and feeling his way through. Its interesting how SCD has moved away from the blogs. They used to have 4-5 on their site, not so much anymore.

He's new to blogging, but not journalism. He doesn't seem to do much of that, though. Nobody at SCD does for that matter.

Two of the bloggers went on to other things, Nerat to MEARS and Bloehard now works with SCDs pointless new auction service.

Nerat is no longer @ Mears. I don't know the story, but I know Chris is no longer there.

Well, Mr. O'Connell didn't even allow my comment to post. In my comment I listed the final bid prices from the Coach's Corner auction site that ended March 27, 2009. In that comment I asked Mr. O'Connell why he doesn't investigate how such "authentic autograph items" on the CCSA auction end up at such at low end bid price. Go to YouTube and see my videos on forgeries. Just type "tomtresh2" in the YouTube search box. One of my videos replies to Mr. O'Connell njot allowing my comment to post on his blog.

I don't understand how someone can make any accusation one way or another and hide behind the signature of Anonymous? What are you afraid of? I have no opinion on anything here because all the links are not accessible.
