Somewhere In The World They Are Playing Hockey

It's not often in the midst of August that you get tot talk hockey which is probably my favorite spectator sport, slightly edging out baseball but with several releases coming today via Upper Deck's Facebook page, apparantley it's never too early to talk about the fastest self-propelled human sport on the planet.

First we get word of notorious tough signer Steve Yzerman signing an autograph deal with Upper Deck, followed quickly by product previews for MVP and Black Diamond.

As if that wasn't enough, my friend and guest contributor Russ Cohen announced the final cover for his new book is finished, 100 Ranger Greats. You can become a fan on Facebook, and keep track of release date and book signings (mostly on the East Coast) that will include some players from the book.

As if that wasn't enough, the full NHL schedule has been released incuding broadcast and network 411. See the full schedule for your team here.

I love talking pucks. Training camp is only about 3 weeks away!!

It's the summer. As much of a comeback the NHL this past season, hockey shouldn't get exciting until the baseball season ends. Unless, they have some cool promotions lined up that we should know about.
