All It Takes Is A Few Nice Catches

A week ago I good have had myself a nice Topps Chrome Rookie Auto of Bear's wide receiver Johnny Knox out of Abilene Christain for $5 and change. Despite having a big catch in last week's loss to the Packers, he mis-ran a couple of routes, one of which led to a Cutler interception. Today, before and during the game several sold in the range of $10-$15.

Today with Knox scoring his first TD, it appears his stock is rising. A similar thing happened in Devin Hester's rookie year as well. Despite a football pedigree from Miami, fans and collectors paid the speedy Hester very little attention until he started returning kick-offs and punts for touchdowns on a regular basis.

Only time will tell if Knox is the real deal or a flash in the pan. With 6 receptions for 70 yards including a key 22-yard grab today, it appears he and Cutler are quickly becoming familiar with each other.

While still early, I think it is safe to say you can put a BUY notice out for Johnny Knox. Even if you pay between $10-$20, it's a safe investment to cash out at that range and get your money back.
