Any Rocky Fan Knows The Face if Not The Name

Lou Filippo died today at the age of 83. A World Boxing Hall-of -Famer was a well respected judge and referee following a successhul 10-year boxing career of his own where he went 23-9-3 with 8 KOs.

He participated in some extremely high profile fights including the 1987 bout between Sugar Ray Leonard and Marvin Hagler. More recently he was in the ring in 2000 for the Oscar De La Hoya vs Shane Mosley fight.

However, outside of boxing circles, he will probably best be known for his ring presence in 5 of the "Rocky" movies. It's too bad Hasbro spelled his name wrong.

Actually that would be Jakks Pacific who spelled his name wrong. While Hasbro has certainly made their fair share of errors in toy packaging, they did not create the Rocky action figures.

My bad. Thank you. I knew that too. Hasbro made a custom one for WWE
