Cashing Out, For Sale, I'm Done

That's it. I'm done. Well 80-90% done. I am shifting my collecting focus away from cards and am going to be focusing on expanding my collection of signed pucks, baseballs, and photographs. All proceeds from sale of said cards will be going towards a Mantle single signed baseball and a Williams single signed baseball, two key pieces missing from my 500 Home Run Club collection.

I will be keeping my core player collections of Jordan, Payton, Ripken, Ryan and my Chicago team stuff but the rest of it is gone. Vintage too, other than 1970, 1973, 1975. Topps sets/near sets. I haven't inventoried everything yet but here are pictures. 

If you see something you want, I am willing to make a realistic deal. If you see a box you are interested in just let me know in the comments and I will let you know what is specifically in there, i.e. full set, partial, key cards, hits, etc.

Four Episodes and No Cards

I'm sure that I am not the only collector disappointed in the fact that the much heralded new TV show Ball Boys has once again been void of trading cards. This is the second sports collectibles reality show, the other being All-Star Dealers, to debut in the last few months and while both have their merits, it seems that the content collectors are really looking for is nowhere to be found. 

Maybe it's too much to expect that the daily happenings of a hip, financially profitable, well lit and organized sports card shop be given its own TV show. I just know in my heart of heart that the concept would work given the right shop, personalities, traffic, and clientele. Perhaps that is the problem right there. Maybe the formula for a successful reality TV show taking place in a neighborhood LCS just doesn't exist? It can't be true though, could it?
